brand designer
about
Hey there! I’m Aishwarya – a dynamic, intuitive, and detail-oriented brand designer with over 3 years of work experience. With ADHD as my secret ingredient, I thrive on asking curious (and sometimes unnecessary) questions that often lead to deeper insights and unexpected, purposeful design solutions. I’m passionate about blending empathy with innovation, which pushes me to curate designs that are both functional and visually engaging. As a designer, I thrive on experimentation, exploration, and everything in between—comfort zones are just creative dead ends. I believe in lifelong learning and constantly expanding my skills, whether mastering new software or refining my talents. Design, for me, is a journey of growth, focused on creating impactful, memorable experiences for the audience.

Brand Strategist at Folkulture (Lifestyle and Home Decor)

As a Brand Strategist at Folkulture, a modern home decor brand, I focused heavily on packaging design for their home fragrance collections. I was involved in every step of the process—conceptualising, ideating, and executing packaging designs based on thorough market research. I also took charge of art direction for the product shoots, creating mood boards, styling, sourcing, coordinating, and ensuring smooth execution, all while collaborating and leading a team of 2–4 members.
February 2023 - August 2023
Visual Designer at Pangolin Marketing (Marketing Agency)

Working as a Visual Designer at Pangolin, a purpose-driven startup, was a transformative experience for me. Being part of a small team, I collaborated directly with the co-founder to develop impactful design solutions. I also took advantage of several courses they provided, which helped me refine my skills and grow in my areas of interest. While at Pangolin, I worked on projects mainly for NGOs and B2B startups, creating branding and visual identities, eBooks, brochures, and social media strategies. These experiences helped me gain valuable insights into design thinking and visual design within the B2B market—a rewarding challenge after primarily working with B2C clients.
July 2022 - February 2023
Communication Designer at
Markenzo Worldwide (Digital Marketing Agency)

As a freelance Communication Designer for Markenzo Worldwide, a digital marketing agency with a diverse client base, I developed several key skills. Managing multiple projects for clients from different industries taught me how to multitask effectively and manage my time more efficiently while delivering high-impact design solutions. I also gained valuable experience in negotiating with clients, ensuring the best outcomes for both their needs and my expertise. During my time with Markenzo, I worked on branding guidelines, layout and publication design, illustrations, and user interface design for a variety of clients, which allowed me to expand my versatility as a designer.
July 2020 - June 2022
UI & Brand Designer at Box8 (Online Food Delivery App)

During my time at Box8 as a Brand Designer, I led the launch and operations of Mealful Wraps, a new brand under the company, working closely with my design head. I was responsible for conceptualising and developing the branding and visual identity based on market research, planning and executing the brand launch, and managing its day-to-day operations. My role also included designing the packaging and printing, developing the UI for the website and mobile app, overseeing social media management, and actively participating in brand shoots.
June 2019 - June 2020
Communication Design & Illustrator Intern at
Purplemango (Design Studio)

During my internship at Purplemango, a small design studio, I had the privilege of working closely with two senior designers who played a pivotal role in shaping my graphic design skills. They taught me the intricacies of publication design, branding, brochure design, and social media graphics. By the end of my four-month internship, I had the opportunity to lead the end-to-end branding initiative for Yummy Greens, a food brand specializing in healthy food. My contributions included designing the brand identity, logo, menu cards, wall graphics, packaging, and collateral materials. Throughout this process, my seniors encouraged me to engage directly with the client, which helped me enhance my interpersonal and communication skills.
December 2018 - May 2019
Graphic Design Intern at
McCann Worldgroup (Advertising Agency)

McCann Worldgroup was my first real dive into the design industry. During my one-month internship as a graphic designer, I got a crash course in burning the midnight oil and experiencing the pressure that comes with pitch deadlines. I worked as part of a five-member team led by a senior designer, who involved me in several pitch processes, including campaigns for brands like Audi. I contributed by ideating campaigns, offering creative problem-solving solutions, and designing marketing materials aligned with campaign objectives.
Beyond the pitches, my senior also put me through intense one-day mini-sprints, where I had to research relevant news articles and develop quick design solutions. At the time, it felt nerve-wracking, but in hindsight, it sharpened my ability to skim through research, extract key insights, and translate them into impactful designs under tight timelines.
